Whole House renovation, refurbishment and extension. Achieving a 6 metre extension in Richmond in a Conservation Area was not easy but we managed this and the results are fabulous. At this property we extended to the rear, remodelled the first floor and added a loft conversion with 2 dormers to the form a second floor. By extending the rear of the property on the ground floor by 4 metres we transformed the space in to a large free flowing open plan family area, dining space and kitchen. To ‘bring the outside in’ to all of these areas, we created a contemporary wall of glass across the entire ground floor width, split in to three sections; two large sliding glass doors and a large structural glazed box window which we used to frame a beautiful mature tree outside.

Sometimes going big is not the answer. The challenge of this project was to re-imagine the existing space, the problem for current owners was not that the foot print wasn’t big enough, the layout simply just did not work.
By removing the existing external side storage and replacing with a narrow side extension we also gained a downstairs WC and shower room as well as a practical storage space for bicycles.

This fabulous project in Surbiton consisted of a full width extension to the side and rear of the property and loft conversion. We took full advantage of an area of dead space at the side of the property allowing us to create a stylish open plan arrangement, with plenty of storage, perfect for clutter free family life.

This Richmond period property has been married with a contemporary and elegant architectural build to create a wonderful living space. Family life has been transformed with free flowing open-plan areas which seamlessly connect to the contemporary garden and patio. This client’s unique taste and desire for a high specification finish has created uncompromised quality and a truly personal statement.

This project added a side infill extension to increase the usable floor area of the existing Kitchen. This allowed the client to fit a new bespoke kitchen and create defined dining area and seating area linking to the second reception room. This was all completed in a modern yet sympathetic way to the late Victorian property to create a light, clean modern space with traditional access to the existing garden.

This distinct and beautifully crafted piece of architecture has delivered a remarkable place for our clients to call home. Flowing from the front of the house to the garden, the house is now flooded with natural light and characterized by clean lines and simplicity.

At the outset of this project the client also achieved planning permission for a loft conversion designed by Ask My Architect. The property has now been sold and we are delighted to have been commissioned by the new owners to deliver this additional space.

A dramatic transformation of this Victorian property has resulted in a well-designed spacious light, contemporary interior whilst retaining the property’s elegant period exterior. With every detail tailored to this family needs, this home is now beautiful both inside and out.

As a space designed to be a canvas for individual style and practicality the result has been a great success. The kitchen showcases our client’s taste whilst providing a light filled sociable area for cooking and dining. The ground floor has fluidity and a series of spaces that are now the same scale for comfortable living. The generous amount of natural light coming from the loft conversion and stairs flooding down to the ground floor has transformed the entire property.

With the project completed just a few months before the arrival of the clients’ first child, this period property now makes the best use of its space. The new open-plan light-filled kitchen and living area transforms the property, providing a safe environment for a young family and a stylish enjoyable space to live and entertain friends.

A modern two bedroom flat with contemporary open-plan living space has been created in this period building and as a result the additional market appeal has enabled the client to maximise his rental return on this investment property.
