Our story

Heckmann Design is a London- based Architectural and Design practice specialising in private residential projects.

The ethos behind our design approach is aimed at recognising our Clients’ character and aspirations and understanding the site context, to create an environment that is personal, fun, and benefiting from design best practices. Rather than being prescriptive, we prefer to use our experience to help guide clients on their path of personal expression by means of good quality design.

We have a wealth of experience across both, new builds and historical sites, including listed buildings, as well as projects involving extensive coordination with management companies and freeholders. Our work has spanned several London boroughs, including Westminster, Islington, Lambeth, and Barnet council.

Projects start with concept development and go all the way through the planning, design, construction, and decoration stages. All throughout, clients benefit from our hands-on approach, technical expertise, and service quality, along with access to our industry network ranging from building contractors to furniture designers. We pride ourselves on our ability to deliver high-quality projects on time and within the financial objectives of our clients.

We also have extensive experience in hospitality sector and are open to wide diversity projects including cafes, restaurants, or boutique hotels.
