We will always love pale grey on our walls but introducing some colour into your home will give it some individuality and personality. We have picked our very favourites from the leading brands to inspire your decorating in 2017!

1. Denim Drift by Dulux

Blue has long been one of our favourite colours in the home; it works well in every room and also on furniture, kitchens and bathroom units to make a statement. Dulux's colour of the year is Denim Drift which is a lovely calming shade of grey-blue. This colour will work around the home and will still be fashionable for years to come.

2. Mortlake Yellow by Little Greene

Little Greene Paint have introduced 12 new colours into their colour card, revised to reflect the latest colour trends. Our favourite is Mortlake Yellow, which is an understated shade of yellow that can be easily teamed with blues and greens for a stunning heritage look. All of the new colours will be available mid-June.

3. Studio Green by Farrow & Ball

Since Pantone announced Greenery as the colour of the year for 2017, we have seen this vibrant shade of green appear everywhere. Farrow and Ball's Studio Green is a more subtle deep shade for those of us not quite bold enough for Greenery. This dark green is a fantastic alternative to deep blue, and will look great in the lounge or dining room. Go for an informal look and team it with whites and wood, like in the image below.

4. Manna Ash by Fired Earth

Pastel shades continue to be so popular this year, and the trend for Rose Quartz is not going anywhere! This shouldn't be limited to the bedroom, but will also look perfect in the bathroom teamed with gorgeous gold and brass taps, or in the lounge with deep greys and blues for a masculine look. Manna Ash by Fired Earth is the perfect shade if you don't want to go for too sweet a shade of pink - with it's taupe undertone it's a very versatile shade of pink.

5. Scrumptious by Crown

Perfect for the dining room or bedroom, deep purples are big news in 2017 and ideal for setting a deep and sultry atmosphere. We love Scrumptious by Crown, which is an aubergine shade of purple and will create a sophisticated look in your home. For an on trend look, combine deep purple with gorgeous brass and gold.
